Full-time Travel Medical Assistant (MA)

We are currently seeking a Floating Medical Assistant to join our growing team!

Note: This position requires flexibility and the ability to accompany an MD and travel between multiple sites within Brooklyn.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients by providing excellent customer service, information, and clinical support
  • Take and record patient vitals (blood pressure, weight, temperature), and help prepare patients for examination
  • Interview patients, confirm medical history, and verify visit purpose
  • Support providers during exams and office procedures
  • Manage inventory and ensure medical equipment is properly maintained and functional
  • Handle medical records, perform diagnostic and procedure coding, and protect patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
  • Communicate physician’s orders and assist in patient education
  • Schedule surgeries and coordinate pre-operative documentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment
  • Stay current with best practices in medical assistance and patient care
  • Uphold facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent required)
  • 2–3 years of experience in a medical office or outpatient clinical setting
  • Proficient in EMR systems and familiar with medical terminology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Professional, dependable, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
