We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our supportive and encouraging team!

Responsibilities: As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our patients and healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing information, services, and assistance to patients.
  • Maintaining medical supplies inventory and performing preventive maintenance on medical equipment.
  • Verifying patient information through interviews and recording medical history.
  • Preparing patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical tests and vital sign measurements.
  • Assisting healthcare providers with office procedures.
  • Safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
  • Counseling patients by transmitting physician's orders and answering questions about surgery.
  • Scheduling surgeries and coordinating arrangements with surgical centers.
  • Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to established standards and procedures.
  • Monitoring inventory stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts to ensure a continuous supply of medical materials.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and advancements.
  • Adhering to professional standards, facility policies, and legal regulations to protect the practice and ensure quality care.

Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • 2-3 years of experience in a medical office setting
  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) and medical terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Spanish-speaking preferred but not required.
