Part-time Urology Ultrasound Technician

Doral Health & Wellness is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Urology Ultrasound Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations for urological conditions, as prescribed by physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare patients for urological ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture clear and accurate images, specifically for urological studies (e.g., kidneys, bladder, prostate, scrotum).
  • Work closely with urologists and healthcare providers to interpret images and assist in diagnosing urological conditions.
  • Ensure accurate and complete patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Follow established safety and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and maintain a clean, professional environment.
  • Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly addressing any malfunctions.
  • Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and urological imaging techniques.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program.
  • Current certification as an Ultrasound Technician (ARDMS or equivalent certification).
  • Proven experience in performing urological ultrasound procedures, including:

a. Prostate (Transabdominal, Transrectal)

b. Bladder

c. Renal (Kidneys)

d. Scrotum

  • Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and imaging software to capture diagnostic images.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy, especially urological systems, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate care.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Compensation:

  • Pay Rate: $40-50 per hour, based on experience.
